Our Honey Contest is now OFFICIAL!
We are proud to announce that our honey contest that we are hosting in Fort Myers, FL. is OFFICIAL!! We are bringing in a Welsh Honey Judge to possibly give your honey a blue ribbon!
Kevin Lausman, Master Beekeeper from Bradenton, FL. is a Welsh Honey Judge with the American Honey Show Training Council (AHSTC), and is a Master Beekeeper thru the University of Florida. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable in this field, and we are happy to have him be our honey judge in this contest.

HOW: There will be a table set up inside the building, with a volunteer for you to check in your honey.
Judging will be done in private. The private judging could take up to 5 hours depending on amount of entries.
WINNERS: WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT MILLENNIAL BREWING COMPANY AT OUR "WORLD HONEY BEE DAY CELEBRATION"!!

Judge Kevin will be judging the four categories (listed above). If you plan to enter more than 1 category, you will need to bring 3 jars of honey per category, except for Black Jar (only 2 to 4 ounces of honey is required and a black jar will be provided for your use).
Example: If you enter all 4 categories, you will need to bring 9 jars of honey plus up to 4 ounces extra for the Black Jar category.
Note: It is not required, but highly recommended) Bring an extra jar of honey (2 to 4 ounces) with you to enter into our 5th contest, "public opinion" honey tasting contest. We will transfer it into a special black jar for you.
Example: If you enter all 4 of the official contests + the 5th public opinion contest, you will need 9 jars of honey plus 4 to 8 ounces extra to place in the two blind events requiring 2 to 4 ounces in a black jar (containers will be provided).
The "public opinion" vote will be held at our World Honey Bee Day Celebration at Millennial Brewing Co, 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM. This is a blind taste test voted by the public (container provided).
